Antibodies and enzymes are useful for locating membranes in preparations and by microphotography techniques. Enzymes can be tested via their catalytic activity. Other proteins are identified via antibodies supplied by e.g. StressGen (complete line of antibodies). For conjugations: alkaline phosphatase (AP), horseradish peroxidase (HRP), biotin, and fluoroscein isothiocyanate (FITC) are employed.
